I meant only to court someone. I'm currently in a relationship that started out as intending marriage in the end but at any age younger (like in high school or middle school) I don't think that's a great goal to try and pursue at that age since I think then you should more focus on what you like in someone of the opposite sex instead of looking for someone to marry when you wont be able to get married for several more years. Make more sense?

*shrugs* i like courting but I dont' think it's a great idea to go into a relationship only if it's to court someone. Plus I think you're a bit young to be courting (erik) no offense but it will be a long time until you can marry. What I was trying to get at, is that when I'm ready to get married (In ten years or so.) I'll start 'courting'. But for now, I like being 'just friends'.

what sucks is that u chose a 16, IMO i didn't CHOOSE a "16 year old", i chose someone i felt close to, having no knowledge of her age, and it was to my great dismay to learn she was underage, but like i said, in 2 more years, it'll be ok

If you really think about it...that age difference won't matter once they both hit their twenties. I know alot of couples that are a few years off, and it's perfectly acceptable. He's not having sex with her...as far as I know...so he's not a pedophile.

20s is a long time away when the girl is extremly young! Longer even than usual because those are vulnerable years. Most older guys just don't realise the perment damage they are causeing these young girls by doing these things to them.
