I got this idea off another board but I'd be very interested in how everyone would answer this question.
What does it mean to you to accept Jesus and/or to live your life for Him?

To know and except that Jesus died on the cross and that he paid for your sins so you can life eternally in Heaven. As for the acting on that knowledge it's up to the individual to listen to the Spirit and act based on what he thinks is the best course of action. As for the specific actions that a Christian should or shouldn't do is up to that individual and the Spirit's leading in combination to the knowledge of what the scriptures say and what the different causes and effects that your actions will have.
Faith, knowledge, logic, moderation, and individuality are very important as well as the spirit's guiding.

I just re-read what I posted, and I think that my wording was sorta off... I'm still right of course.

Well, despite the intriguing conversation that would have arisen if more people put their views in the mix... I'm happy to know that I'm not alone in my view of the Christian definition. As I've said in previous threads, too many Christians think that the definition of a Christian is so narrow that it only includes the person giving that definition. Christians who rant about how 'God hates fags' are Christians, as annoying as they are, and so are the pot smoking hippie Christians. God loves variety, and you shouldn't be made to conform to anything that you're not. That's not saying you shouldn't be refined, however... But that's between you and God.

To spread his word as much as possible. Yesh..but to spread his word out to people who'll listen, you can't forcefully tell someone to listen to his beliefs and tell them to accept them.. Not ganging u on you or anything..just saying..

To spread his word as much as possible. That's the definition of a missionary: a type of Christian.
